Not at all. Our pricing is right in line with our gas-burning competitors. Our investment in equipment is a greater upfront cost than buying traditional, gas-powered tools; but the cost of ownership is much less over time (no need for petrol and a lot less maintenance). And we just really like the fact that we are much cleaner and quieter.

Gas-powered lawn mowers are highly inefficient, which means that despite their small size they produce a lot of air pollution. In fact, running an older gasoline-powered lawn mower for one hour can produce as much air pollution as driving a new car 550 km (Source: Ministry of the Environment-Canada).
On top of that, gas-powered mowers make a lot of noise. Who hasn’t been disturbed by the rumbling and coughing of a neighbour’s carbon emitting, gas guzzling machine? When you hear lawn mowers and leaf blowers buzzing around as you are trying to sleep in or relax on your deck, you can bet it’s not us!
Let’s face it, battery operated equipment is better for the environment and clients will love the fact that our equipment it’s super quiet, too! By choosing Fox Grove, you get a professionally cut lawn without the pollution or the noise.
So, why not leave the mowing to us? And spend your time doing the things you really love. You’ll be doing the environment and your neighbours a big favour.

We strongly encourage customers to consider mulching their grass clippings. Mulching the grass helps put nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) and potassium (K) back into the soil, which is exactly what your lawn needs to stay healthy. Bagging the clippings removes a source of valuable nutrients from the soil. Also, mulched grass clippings tend to break down quickly. But if a customer prefers the clippings to be removed, we will bag the clippings and place them neatly at the curb for disposal. And when mulching, we will take care not to leave unsightly mounds or clumps of grass on the lawn.
As with grass clippings, we recommend mulching leaves from yard clean-ups. This also helps your lawn by putting organic matter and nitrogen (especially when mixed with grass clippings) back into your soil. It can also be used as mulch in garden beds, or added to your compost for future use. And if you prefer the leaves to be removed, we can also rake, bag and place them neatly at the curb for disposal.
